First Stitches (or stitch at least)

So I got my very first stitch yesterday. It's kind of a yucky story, so if you don't want details, don't keep reading.

I went to the dermatologist yesterday to get a spot on the back of my leg checked out, and the doctor told me he wasn't sure what the spot was, but that it needed to come off. That was not encouraging news for me because I'm just about the biggest weenie in the book when it comes to pain and things like that. So I got a painful shot which numbed my leg up pretty well, then he took a 4mm punch into my flesh. Can we say ewwwww? It was an extremely strange feeling to know that my leg was being cut into but not being able to actually feel it. (And thank goodness for that!) So I felt the doc putting the stitch in, and I could feel the string being pulled through my skin, but no pain. Anyway, my removed chunk of leg is being biopsied to find out what exactly it is. Skin cancer is a possibility, but I'm only 22 with no history of bad sun damage so that seems unlikely. Probably it's just an ingrown hair, but you never know. I should find out in a week or two.

This is a picture I took of a sliced kiwi. Nothing too fancy... I just put the slices on the lightbox I use for viewing slides in an attempt to get some nice even lighting. I like the colors, but I think the composition leaves a little to be desired. Any thoughts?

Ever since I bought my camera (great zoom included) I have not stopped taking pictures of things close up. I like the kiwis. Good perspective. :)

I hope all is well with the biopsy. I think it will be, but it is good that you are having it checked out thoroughly.

Seeing the Kiwis made me crave them. I love those things.

Stop by my blog some time for a good laugh.

My daughter's blog is also very good. I know she will enjoy yours as well. Here's hers:

I found you on my friend's blog...stuckinga.

I also like the kiwi pic. Certainly makes me want to eat some kiwis because they look so vibrant.
