I've been shooting more scenic stuff lately, I guess mostly because everything is so beautiful here. I usually have off Mondays from work, and I've spent the last few driving around and taking pictures. There's so many great places to go here for good photo ops - mountains, trails, roads, farmland, etc.
On a side note, I came across a really great song the other day which I would recommend everyone downl.... purchase.
Into the Fire, by a great UK group Thirteen Senses. This song is on the Grey's Anatomy soundtrack (which kicks butt, by the way.) Check it out. It doesn't disappoint.
Yes, fall is arriving... the leaves are beginning to change color. This is a view from my drive up to Reddish Knob, Virginia.
This is really better in a larger version... with this small picture you miss so much detail.
My drive down the mountain from Reddish Knob, in Virginia.

If you had a calandar of pictures, I would buy it.
Fall doesn't last too long here. The leaves were starting to turn beautiful colors and then it snowed. Most of them have shriveled up but some retain a vibrant yellow color. The area you photographed looks incredible, love the soft undulating hills.
The Foggy Road looks like a Kincaid painting. It is so gorgeous.
Fall is such a great season. We drove though the Smoky Mountains last fall and the colors were unbelievable. I'd never seen autumn colors like that before. I was truly amazed.
You are truly living in a beautiful area.
Emily -
I have enjoyed looking at your pictures over the last month when I found your blog. The surroundings are beautiful but with your talent you can make anything beautiful. (if you start getting too many of these ads on your blog, go to the set up pages for your blog and load the word verification, that will stop the automatic posts.)
God bless,
Tammy Marcelain, Rob's wife
