Out of Africa

Well folks, I'm sure you've been waiting in hopeful anticipation for my long-awaited return. And here I am, once again on American soil. (Sometimes I need to go away to really appreciate that more.)

The trip was good. Africa's cool.

I am being purposely vague and unspecific, as I will elaborate with many details later. Right now, I am struggling to type without my eyes closing up on me. After arriving at the airport at 1:00 this afternoon, I had been travelling for 36 hours. THIRTY-SIX HOURS. That's a DAY-AND-A-HALF of my life I will never get back - forever sucked away by airport layovers and long flights.

I. need. sleep.

I can't wait to hear about your trip!

I know what you mean about airports. I just discovered that my flight from LA to Malaysia itself is going to be almost 22 hours. This isn't counting 2 more flights and layovers. I don't even want to think about it. Post some pictures, welcome back!

I'm glad your back. I cannot wait to see Africa. Did I tell you I might be going to Russia over Christmas break?

There's NO WAY you are STILL sleeping!

I agree there is no way you're still sleeping! Although, you could still be dreaming of Africa. But Emily, take the time you need to make a great post. For those of us too anxious we all can still view her incredible photos on Flickr.

I'm not still sleeping, but I want to be! I've worked 19 hours in the last 2 days, so I'm having difficulty finding enough time to put my trip into words... I'll do it soon, I promise!
