Susan & Pat - Saybrook Point Inn Connecticut Wedding Photography

There are so many things I loved about this wedding! First on the list, of course, are Susan and Pat. I could not have asked for two nicer, more welcoming people. I met Susan in 2010 at Janaye and Brady's wedding in Texas. I ended up driving her and her friend Amanda back to the airport the morning after the wedding. (But first I drove us all to the wrong airport... long story.) So we got to chatting, and the next thing you know I'm in Connecticut for Susan's wedding two years later!

Part of the fun in shooting weddings for me is finding out more about the couple. In this case, I discovered Pat has a crazy love of superheroes, and Susan has an even crazier love of Hanson. I can't remember the last time I heard MMMBop played at a wedding, but it was pretty epic and I loved it.

The only thing not to love about this wedding was (let's be honest) the rain. It rained all day. And by all day, I mean all day. Susan and Pat had such good attitudes about it though, and we really didn't let it stop us. I shot under awnings, through windows, and beneath anything that would give us some cover and still allow for the outdoor photos we all wanted. This was also the wedding where I discovered my white shoot-through photography umbrella also doubles as a real umbrella. Haha.

Susan and Pat, thanks for inviting me up to Connecticut to share in your special day! I had a blast! (Seriously, everyone was so nice.)
