Scenes from VA

Well folks, if nothing else, this place shore is purty.

That is an AMAZING sunset...and those are hard to capture :) And people wonder why I want to move to Virginia....

The sunset is gorgeous, but I must say, my favorite pic of this set is the chain. I guess that's a lock on there too. I think the colors and the aged, worn look of it is just so neat.

I want to BE there! I can't even remember what it's like to not be in flat brown land. These pictures are great!

If I ever left Texas, VA Beach is the place I would go. I loved the spring break I spent there a couple of years ago.

Hi Emily - here via Jamie Dawn. I love blogs that have lots of pictures; it's my style as well.

I used to live in Richmond and was lucky enough to get to Charlottesville and points west a few times. But, I didn't have the opportunity to take pictures like these. They're great.

That place is indeed very purdy. I've never been back east :-( but after seeing your pictures I don't think I'll need to.

These are gorgeous Emily. Pretty much the only thing Lubbock has going for it is that there's plenty of pretty sky around, but I've never seen a sunset quite like that, even here.

Love the pictures. Just like Jamie Dawn I think the chain with the lock is the best. Not only is the color amazing and unexpected given the subject matter but its far rarer than sunsets. Although, the virginia landscape is gorgeous. My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Virginia so that state is a very special place for me.

The drive from Broadway to Harrisonburg does create some of the best sunsets I have ever seen. I'll be you were on VA 42 when you took the shot.
